CALIFORNIA COMMONS

california COmmons

GATTACA and the California Commons approached me as an independent political and civic initiative seeking a coherent identity, institutional strategy, and public-facing vision for a more ambitious California. My role was to translate a sprawling set of ideas: spanning infrastructure, mobility, water, energy, technology, housing, education, healthcare, and public stewardship; into a legible political and design system.

The work included developing the California Commons brand and visual language; structuring its propositions, mandates, and institutional architecture; shaping GATTACA as a statewide infrastructure doctrine; and creating the strategic frameworks, narratives, maps, programs, and prototype services that connect policy to everyday civic experience.

The result is less a conventional campaign identity than a complete political design system: part manifesto, part public institution, part infrastructure strategy, and part speculative model for how California could organize, finance, and build for itself.
